Using a DiviPay virtual card for online purchases means you never expose your personal bank card details to online merchants. See below for how DiviPay keeps you safe whilst shopping online.
Create a DiviPay virtual card for purchases you make frequently at trusted merchants. If this card ever becomes compromised your personal bank details are not exposed and you can simply delete the associated DiviPay card.
Create a single use DiviPay virtual card if you are shopping with a new merchant for the first time or just don't entirely trust a website. Once you've paid the merchant simply remove that virtual card and it can never be used again. This means that the merchant will never have access to any of your payment information.
Use a DiviPay virtual card when signing up for subscription services and stay in control. By setting a spending limit on your card you can ensure you will never be charged more than expected. With a DiviPay card you also have the ability to disable the card at any time, meaning the service provider won't be able to charge you for a service you no longer want. If you only want to trial the service or want a single subscription item you can create a virtual card, sign up and then remove the card. Easy!
Before you can load funds for the first time you will be asked to link your personal debit or credit card. Once that is complete simply enter the amount you would like to add to your virtual card via the add funds button.
Funds are loaded instantly.
Buying things online with a DiviPay virtual card works the same as your usual bank card. Simply click show card and then copy and paste your Card Number, Expiry Data and CVC number displayed on your virtual card at the check-out page. You can use any name and address at the merchant checkout as long as it appears real.
Transactions can take up to 30 minutes to appear in your transaction history.
DiviPay is free to use.
Yes, at the moment each user can only store $1,000 on DiviPay at any one time.
No there is no limit on the amount you can spend, as long as you do not store more than a $1,000 on a single virtual card at any one time.
The minimum amount is $5.
Click remove card to close your virtual card. Once this is done your refund will be processed within 3-5 working days.
Any funds you don't spend will stay loaded onto your virtual card. If you want to withdraw that money simply click remove card and your refund will be processed in 3-5 working days. We may automatically close cards that have been inactive for over 60 days. So, you'll get your money back even if you forget to close your card. We will notify you via email ahead of time in this event.
If a merchant issues a refund, it will be refunded into the DiviPay virtual card that you made the payment from. Refunds are dependent on several parties (including the merchant), so it can take several business days for a refund to appear on your card.
We can either set up a new virtual card for you and transfer the balance or we can refund the amount back to a nominated Australian bank account. If this happens we will contact you to work out your preferred option.
Enter any billing name and address as long as it appears to be real. Do not use your card name if it is not a real person's name. It will be rejected by the merchant.
Charges will show up on your bank statement as "ASM * DIVIPAY 'virtual card - name'".
We recommend always trying to resolve the issue with the merchant prior to issuing a chargeback - merchants would almost always prefer to resolve the issue without a chargeback. In the event that you have tried to contact the merchant and have been unable to reach a resolution, you can dispute the transaction by contacting us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We will act on your behalf and conduct the chargeback.
When prompted select credit.
All funds are currently loaded onto your card in AUD. You can use the currency exchange calculator to work out how much AUD you will need for an international purchase. Once the correct amount of funds are loaded, DiviPay will convert the currencies for you without any foreign transaction fees.
